Children who opt for a school dinner can choose from the following three options:
- hot school dinner – on a three-week cycle;
- cold school dinner – a packed lunch of cheese, ham or tuna mayonnaise roll, fruit or veg pot, savoury option and cake or dessert; or
- jacket potato – tuna mayonnaise, cheese or beans.
School dinners are paid for through Parent Pay. Children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to "Universal Free School Meals" (FSM). FSMs are available to families in receipt of certain benefits. Please enquire at the school office for further details or complete the form below and return it to the school office.
The school also has a policy of making drinking water accessible to the children at all times. Many children bring their own water, in spill-proof bottles.
The school has achieved Healthy School Status and has a policy of encouraging healthy eating. To this end, the children are encouraged to bring a fruit snack to eat at playtime. Sweets, biscuits and crisps are not allowed as snacks. In addition, the school participates in the National School Fruit Scheme, which offers all children in Reception and Years 1 and 2, a free piece of fruit daily.
