    PSHE

We teach Personal, Social and Health Education through our school values of Community and Citizenship, Learning to Learn, Aiming High, Respecting Ourselves and Others and Enjoying Learning, incorporating external events such as National Bullying Week and World Mental Health Day, and our own regular events. These include a Careers Week in the Autumn term, Crucial Crew for all Year 6 children, a Mini Enterprize project, and a Mental Health lessons through an external provider in Year 6. Themes include bullying, road safety, alcohol and drug awareness, democracy and British values and respecting our environment.

We use the Living and Growing Scheme of Work to deliver our Sex Education lessons which begin in Year 1 and are carefully structured throughout the school to work alongside science lessons to deliver a rounded and sensitive understanding of growing, changing, puberty and relationships. PSHE lessons are enhanced by key stage and whole school assemblies and a programme of visitors and charity events, often led and organised by our older children.
